New blog!

Hey everyone! This is our very first "official" post on this blog! We decided we wanted to showcase all of our amazing weddings on their own site but be able to feature everything we love about weddings as well! We've been working hard to get a brand new website up and it's finally here!

We updated the look and came up with some new customizable packages that fit with everyone. We want you to be able to pick what works best for you while getting not only products that you want but get the experience you deserve.

We will be updating the blog shortly and give you a few "tastes" of weddings we've worked on and some things that inspire us as a photographer and an event planner. We love being able to inspire ideas and help those in the process of creating their dream wedding. In this process, STILLCODA has teamed up with our special and very talented friends at DLG Creative Management to offer you the best services and products you can imagine. Stop by their website and check out their services today!

Kate & Dave: Winter Wonderland!

When we were talking to Kate and Dave about their wedding, the first thing they said was the date: January 14. We're in Minnesota and anyone who knows anything about Minnesota, knows that this is the coldest time of the year! But that didn't deter us, we got our gloves, scarves and coffee mugs ready to go! Working closely with our friends in DLG Creative Management to design their wedding, Kate and Dave were blown away by end results. The entire church was turned into a winter wonderland even though there wasn't any snow on the ground (which is extremely crazy by the way!). While the bride was getting ready, we took the guys out to shoot a few photos in the field right outside. It was the coldest day we had seen in awhile but everyone were champs! After the bride was ready, we took the bridal party down to the old grain mill/railroad area in the downtown area of the town we were in. Just as we started shooting, it started snowing! It turned out to be the best day for the couple to get married, everything was on their side.

Capturing this family come together was special for both companies and we can't thank them enough for allowing us to be apart of it. The feeling of family all around was immense and made the day that much more special for the couple.

Chuck & Becky: Downtown Wedding

We're always excited to see where our couples decide to hold their wedding and reception. It gives us so many ideas on places to photograph these lovely couples and their wedding parties. This wedding was no exception. Becky and Chuck wanted to include a little of the city life they both love but still embrace the feeling of closeness for family and friends. A rustic church was the setting for the ceremony while an open floor ballroom was chosen for their reception. These two amazing people met online and found their one and only: each other. Each individual style was apparent while combining both was flawless at the same time. A little bit of old school mixed with a touch of modern day new school.

We took Becky and Chucks bridal party photos in the Guthrie Museum in downtown Minneapolis. This spot was perfect! To add to the character of the entire day, the first snow fall of the season started happening right as we were walking into the building. The entire bridal party was  a blast to work with and we were able to capture their personalities in every photo. When it came time to photograph the bride and groom, we had the opportunity to showcase the love and affection this couple has for one another. That's something every photographer strives to capture and we got so many shots, it was hard to pick our favorites.

As the night wrapped up, we were truly thankful and happy for this couple. They were surrounded by loved ones and had a night to remember. We wish them the best of luck for the future and can't wait to photograph them again! Thank you Becky and Chuck!
